Our client had a clear vision right from the start: they wanted to create one of the world’s leading techno clubs in the heart of Rotterdam. A former pedestrian tunnel near Rotterdam Central Station formed the ideal scenery for this purpose.

This underground location, named after futurologist Alvin Toffler, was equipped with a unique honeycomb light grid. The sound system that was installed is unique in its kind and was completely tailor-made to support the biggest techno DJs.

The light and sound system in the club can move back and forth during the night. The hydraulic system, specially designed for the venue, is a worldwide premiere adjusting its size by moving the back wall and the DJ booth, depending on the number of visitors. Due to the low speed, this transformation is hardly noticeable.

Factorr has a long-lasting relationship with the company group behind this club concept. In setting up Toffler, Factorr assisted in them areas of business strategy, venue development and technical production.
At Toffler, leading artist have preformed, such as (among many others) Chris Liebing, Nina Kraviz, Seth Troxler, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Nic Fanciulli, Jamie Jones, Art Department, Henrik Schwarz and Maya Jane Coles.
